Sleep Party People remix by Trentemøller

I know, I really ought to write about my art, wasn´t that the purpose to start with?
I´m actually working on something right now, but not ready to show just yet.

Meanwhile you should watch this stunningly beautiful breath taking video, which is Trentemøller´s remix of Sleep Party People´s beautiful song The Dwarf And The Horse.

I love Sleep Party People and I love most of what Trentemøllers does. So putting those two together.... well, just take a look for yourself!

This love will never stop

Sometimes you love some musician and feel so sure you´ll love them for the rest of your life because everything they do seem to fit where you are in your life. And then they begin to do boring music and you stop loving them.... (sorry, but I really can´t mention all my lost loved ones here... there´s a lot and that would be a bit mean too ).

I have one love I feel confident will never stop. I simply can´t imagine it ever stopping. I´m totally addicted to this voice, this very magical voice.

There´s a whole life in that voice with fear, love, regret -  his life or my life or your life.... I´ve been addicted since 1999 and I´m still addicted. I even did know him before 1999 and liked him, but the details of that are sort of lost in my memory.... I wasn´t that sober in those days either.

Of course I´m talking about Joakim Thåström, who else could it be?
He even started out my artistic carriere because his 1999 album "Det e dom som e dom konstiga, det e jag som är normal" made such a strong impression on me, that I simply had to do something. Which turned out to be art.

On my webpage www.sadie.dk under Gallery you can see 3 long white silk dresses, called T(håström) Tripthycon. They are really my first sculpture, and my picture of what you looks like inside when you listen to Joakim Thåström. Here´s one of the photos, detailed photos can be seen on my website (crappy little photo, but I´m too lazy to find the flash usb with the big versions on it;-):

I even made him a hooded linen jacket with a angel with a sun in her hands painted on silk inside to throw light over his heart, and a little book with my scultures and my devotion to him.
I never heard anything back on that, but knowing about him meant that I had forgiven him for that already before I posted the stuff. So don´t worry; I still love you;-)

Here´s a video from the cd Skebokvarnsv. 209. It´s in swedish, but give it a try anyway even if you don´t understand the words:

Joakim Thåström Om black Jim

And here´s one of my favourite videos of him. I fear you might have to know a little history to fully appreciate this, but to me it´s one of the most beautiful videos ever:

David, I´ll wash your feet anytime

I can´t really think about anything I wouldn´t do for this voice:

From Sarah on Soundcloud
From Sarah "Demons" on Youtube

Their Facebookpage.

This must be the closests you can get to God without being dead.

Here´s a picture of the guy in control of this amazing voice, David Fjelstrup:

I stole the photo from Dann Nørgaard, I hope he doesn´t kill me.

New photomanipulations/I know you grow wings...

I´ve been doing this the last week, and thought I was ready to share them now.

I haven´t really decided the title yet. I´m inspired by a sentence by the swedish singer Joakim Thåström (my translation:) "I know you grow wings because your skin is too tight, and you want to fly away with them" (from ...Ingen neråt sång, cd´en Det är ni som e dom konstiga, det år jag som e normal 1999).
I mostly feel like naming the serie that (isn´t there some trend about very long titles right now? Or is that only in music?), but I´m a little insecure about how much I can quote without permission. And I´ve read somewhere that if you ask Thåström for permission on something like this, he simply never answer....

I might look into the laws about that sometime soon.

All the photos are old familyphotos of me and my family, and here they are (as usual click to see full size):

Most - but not all - wings used in these manipulations, are created by Obsidian Dawn and you can find them here: Obsidian Dawns homepage

Fallulah - or is human hair going to be the next thing?

I´ve been using human hair in my art for quite some years now. And it never stops to fascinate me how repulsive most people think the idea of somebody elses hair is. Mostly people won´t touch my art at all if it involves human hair.

So I found it very funny when I watched the danish music award show P3 Guld and the winner of the big prize, Fallulah, showed  up wearing a dress made partly out of human hair.

If I ever have the luck to meet this wonderful woman, I`ll make sure to ask her if anybody hughed her that evening.... anybody?

I don´t know who made this dress and where that idea came from (if you do know, please drop me a line). My friend Janis suggested "Maybe people have been watching you with hair in your art :))  Next they'll be dressing in teeth too :)". Dressing in teeth? I can hardly wait!

The photo is taken by  Per Lange, and I borrowed it from Gaffa´s homepage. I hope I´m not in trouble.
